The story starts!

This is a song that's interesting to me, it's not too much of my kind of music but I like this song and there's something about it to me. I found out about this song online from someone I knew and this song has a history to it!

This song "Shadows" was mis-labeled and falsely credited to a band named "Nightwish"

Because around 2007 on April the FIRST, Nightwish made up a joke about announcing an album called "Faster, Harder Nightwish" that sounds like it's going to be some kind of extremely overexaggerated heavy metal?

This is what the cover they announced looks like!

And later on the next day, they said it was all a joke!

Link to an archive of Nightwish's website around 2007

But around that time when people would download music on the web peer-to-peer, at the time of Napster and Limewire.... people found the album online?..... On peer-to-peer file sharing websites and programs? Was it being released early?....

As it turns out when people downloaded it, it wasn't Nightwish! It doesn't sound like them!

So many people online were EXTREMEMELY confused by this, some people were upset!

At this time, Nightwish was relasing a single of their song "Eva" and later on that year five months later released their actual album "Dark Passion Play"

This is the tracklist of "Faster, Harder Nightwish"

  1. Eva
  2. I'm Sorry
  3. Shadows
  4. When I'm Gone
  5. Dark Secrets
  6. Eva (Radio Edit)
  7. Faster Harder Nightwish
