Hey, this is RadicalBlur! This is a page just dedicated to an old website I like called "Sonic Beyond"! Just to let you know first, this isn't my website at all and I'm just wanting to archive it because it doesn't exist anymore. I've been thinking about archiving websites I like because of the Internet Archive's website trying to get taken down! This site means a lot to me, it's a small website about Sonic but there's just a good feeling I get from it. So you can see right now, this page is in the style of Sonic Beyond's website uhhh because of this! I talked a lot about this site on my Internet Adventures series I'm doing if you come across this page and don't know what this site is about! I think I'm finding something new about this website almost every day, so I started making updates a while back on random things and now I'm putting them here! Anyways, that's all I need to say!

Updates

YO! This is the biggest update ever today! Last time on Internet Adventures, I was talking about how Sonic Beyond had movies on their website. They were talking about one specificially with Green Hill in Sonic Adventure 2? They said back then that they were the ONLY website with a movie or you'd call a video now with that stage recorded on the internet! Here's a picture of that update again from last time where they were talking about it

I wanted to try to look if they were uploaded somewhere else because it wasn't archived at all. I started thinking, what if it was on Youtube? I searched for Sonic Beyond before around 2007 and I found this random video of Sonic X with Linkin Park music while searching, this is the most 2000s video ever I swear man

But I started to think I wouldn't find it until I scrolled down and came across this video that's an AMV of Sonic's theme, the channel is called "webbeyond", like their central website I've been talking about before with the same name!

I'm going to come back to this video but I started looking around their channel and then.... I found this

After so long, this is it!

You can watch it here!

The description of the video makes me really happy

I remember them talking about that they had a Sonic Beyond trailer or watermark for their site in the movies/videos, there's this one at the start and at the end of the movie is their website button! Shows that this really was the original video

I don't know what to say but I'm really happy, I'm thankful this video is still around, I never thought this would be on Youtube, I felt like it was completely lost to time. You might think this is just another recording of Green Hill from Sonic Adventure 2? But from them, this was the only Sonic website that ever had movie of Green Hill from Adventure 2, on the INTERNET! I'm so thankful that they uploaded it to Youtube and not just their website

Earlier I even found this place called "Topsites" that Sonic Beyond was on, I guess where people had their websites ranked, here's them saying that they were the only site with it too!

Wait a minute..... get a free flat screen tv? FREE FLAT SCREEN TVVVVVV

Nah, I ALREADY GOT ONEE!

Anyway, I'm thinking about downloading this video and uploading it to Neocities when I eventually become a supporter on here! I want to put it on the archive eventually so you could download it like back then!

They had another video on that channel that's a Sonic X AMV with It Doesn't Matter playing in the background, going to watch it on my older computer but it's still loading, give it time

I don't knowwww! It's not doing anything today! Well, I just took some screenshots on the computer I always use

I guess they had a place called the AMV Zone on Web Beyond?

A couple of the Sonic/Web Beyond members were in the credits too! This really was their channel back then

It's really just the beginning scene of Sonic X with Sonic's theme from Adventure 2 over it, it's still kind of a special video to me though, same with the Green hill video. I didn't know I'd be looking at so much of this website this far, I can't explain it but Sonic Beyond is like a place at home on the internet to me. Even though it's a website that isn't around anymore and that there's so many other Sonic websites out there, this one will always still be one of my favorites

Thanks to Sonic Beyond being an awesome place back then!

I'm going to start looking at Web Beyond on Internet Adventures now! Also on this channel, there was another maybe newer? link to Web Beyond! It was on a place called Neocrisis? Anyways, I'll talk about all that later on there! I updated the archive more too, the updates page wouldn't show up until you clicked on the "Home" link before and I uploaded the music to another place called Catbox for now! Man, that was a lot to say, I was thinking about looking for the Green Hill movie online a while back when I found this website, now today I just did!

I'll see ya later in the next update!

I did a lot of these updates and made these pages like this one before I really brought my Neocities up again. So, when I uploaded this archive of Sonic Beyond, the music I talked about that used to be on the original site in the veryy first update I did on this page is missing because you can't upload audio files to Neocities unless you're a supporter, which I'm really considering sometime! For now though, it won't be here..... unless I might try uploading it somewhere else for now and link it to the archive! Eventually if I do become a supporter, I'll put the original file on the page, I really want that Sonic X song on there! Man I'm really looking forward to looking at the Web Beyond website they have! All the other sites I've seen too, talking about them on Internet Adventures!

Hey, so a lot has happened! I started doing these updates before I made this page, back when I first found Sonic Beyond. Making this whole page was fun though, want to say that I was never a member of this website, I'm just making my icon of the style that their icons had, just for the style of this page!

I made an archive of Sonic Beyond on my computer and cleaned up some of the random stuff from the html and because I downloaded it from the internet archive. There was a guy that was a staff member on Sonic Beyond that went by "Knuckles", like the icons I was talking about earlier, he had one but it didn't get archived for some reason? So I decided to recreate it!

I made it in Photoshop and somehow I just re-created the style of the whole icon? So, I really feel like his icon looked like this, I had a feeling like it was either Knuckles from Sonic Advance or a picture from Adventure 2? But I have a feeling like the one from Advance is more likely? Don't know how to explain this but I've never been to this website before and saw his icon before but I just have some strong feeling that this is what it looked like? I think it turned out kinda good? What'dya think?

I put it on the archive in a different folder called "unofficial" to seperate it but I'm not going to be editing this site too much at all because it's an archive. Wanted to make this because I really felt like this was the Knuckles' guy's icon, the page looks kinda empty without it. But I don't want to be changing anything past this on this archive

And I recreated the button Sonic Beyond had on their site for this archive! Wanted to recreate it because I didn't want it to get confused with the original button! You can already see it at the side of the page, that took a while to make too, I had to make the text SUPER SMALL or else it looks weird, used a sprite font for text but it still looked kinda weird, so I copied some of the letters from the Sonic Beyond text to it, had to re-create the background where the text was and position it up and then YEAHHH, there we go!

You can copy it to your website if you want to! I think I might put it on my main page later

I just found something I've never seen before! So, I found an even OLDER version of Sonic Beyond! I found it when I clicked on the Sonic News page on this archive! And it had a COMPLETELY different layout! Here's a link to it!

It was around February 2004, earlier than the archive of this site I've always been to, there was another moderator I guess back then called Bob and they had a different forum! On Proboards? Check it out!

I was looking at Sonic Beyond's website earlier and they had a links page, just now finding out they had a central website of all these beyond websites called "WEB BEYOND!", it's even on this older archive too! Going to check out all this stuff later, got so caught up in making this whole site and writing this stuff, but yeah, another beyond website!

I found a button for Sonic Beyond on an archive of Sonic Stop's website, one of their affiliates! Their website button isn't even archived on Sonic Beyond and shows a blank image, I'm glad it's archived on other places!

Planning on getting this website up again because I want to make a place on the internet about websites like this, today on the Sonic Beyond site I discovered a note left inside the HTML of the updates feed they had

It says! "chris, the link to your image is the same except replace staff_doublex with staff_sonicneo...Mike, all you have to remember is to put an HR tag after your post."

Guessing the creator of the site was helping out the guy called Sonic Neo and someone called Mike on getting their image in the updates feed to show up, their images have names starting with "staff_" and I guess they were showing them how to get it set up! It's a small thing but seeing a message like this left on a website that doesn't exist anymore is interesting

I just found something new on this website today, there was this scrollbar that looked like it linked to a blank page, that was probably missing or another page of the website but it's actually an mp3 file, a song played in the background of Sonic Beyond! The file's called "sonic_drive_karaoke", but the whole original file is lost to time now, so looking up the name, it's the Japaneese theme for Sonic X? I've watched this show before but didn't get too far into it, so this is new to me for some reason? I replaced it with an instrumental I found online and there's a pause button at the bottom of the website, where it probably used to be when this website was still around, but anyway, guess I learn something new about this website every day?
